The Smithville High School Drama Club is a student organization geared toward supporting and promoting the SHS Theatre Department’s extracurricular activities. The Drama Club provides volunteer support for theatrical productions and performs fundraising activities that help with the costs of presenting high-quality theatrical productions.
Drama Club members are required to track their own points, using the Drama Club Points System, to record attendance of and contribution to theatrical productions throughout their high school career. Students can view their individual points totals using the Point Totals Spreadsheet. Awards for exemplary theatre students and achievements are given out at the annual Drama Club Awards Night in May, where new members are also inducted into the organization.
All students are welcome to join the Drama Club, as long as they have the 10 points required to join. Officer positions are available for students interested in leadership, with campaigning and elections happening the week prior to Awards Night.
